Orpheus Two Stereo/Multi-Channel Preamplifier

The Orpheus engineering team has created a unique high-end two-channel preamplifier that offers multi-channel flexibility at no sacrifice in absolute performance. The future-proof Orpheus Two can be re-configured to suit your changing needs quickly and easily.
Ingenious software programming permits the user to quickly re-assign one or two sets of three stereo inputs to operate as a six-channel input. Similarly, multiple stereo outputs can be re-configured as a single six-channel output.
Stereo: 1 balanced stereo input, 6 phono stereo inputs, 1 balanced stereo output, 2 phono stereo outputs
Stereo + Multi-Amp : 1 balanced stereo input, 6 phono stereo inputs, 1 balanced stereo output, 2 phono stereo outputs, 2 additional phono stereo outputs with independent level control (for multi-room applications, etc.)
Single Multi-Channel : 1 six-channel input, 1 balanced stereo input, 3 phono stereo inputs, 1 six-channel output (activated automatically when the six-channel input is selected), 1 balanced and 2 phono stereo outputs (activated automatically when a stereo input is selected)
Dual Multi-Channel : 2 six-channel inputs, 1 balanced stereo input, 1 six-channel output (activated automatically when a six-channel input is selected), 1 balanced and 2 phono stereo outputs (activated automatically when a stereo input is selected)
In combination with a DVD player with onboard DTS, Dolby
Digital, DVD-Audio and SACD decoding, the Orpheus Two offers a High End solution
for surround enthusiasts, without compromising the high standards of pure two-channel
audio.
Designed to fit a single rack unit (482 x 370 x 44 mm), each Orpheus component
employs an ultra-compact signal path layout for significant gains in audio performance.
In keeping with Orpheus’ subtle styling, the basic black chassis and natural brushed aluminium front panel lend a sense of timeless, understated elegance to any contemporary home interior. Their modest dimensions make it easy for the proud owner to choose uncompromising High End performance and uncompromising style.
The blue dot-matrix display features large characters to ensure increased readability and an input naming function that allows the owner to customize names up to ten characters long for each source component.
The display has five user-selectable levels of illumination from full brightness to Off.
In Night Mode, the display can be programmed to illuminate briefly to acknowledge reception of a command whenever a button on the front panel or remote is pressed before turning off again.
In conjunction with the front panel display, Orpheus’ specially developed menu navigation system becomes an ingenious communications centre for efficient, intuitive control with minimal fuss.
