Orpheus One SE builds upon the success of Orpheus One and pushes the limits even further for the true audiophile. Taking the best from both digital and analogue worlds, Orpheus One SE is the perfect bridge between the two worlds.

To fully realize the potential of CD audio, upsampling is executed with the latest version of a unique algorithm based on quantum mechanics. Unlike traditional re-sampling techniques, where new intermediate values are interpolated based on adjacent signal values, Orpheus generates a more accurate analogue output based on function coefficients derived from multiple preceding values.

A convenient phase inverter (0°, 180°) allows the user to compensate for phase inversion elsewhere in the system or in the recording itself. Orpheus One employs an innovative Master Clock placed close to the DAC for significantly reduced intermodulation and totally isolated re-clocking unaffected by external interference. The isolated clock reduces jitter for improved stereo imaging and more precise localisation, as well as greatly enhanced speed and attack.

Incoming and outgoing data streams are completely isolated for more effective signal processing. Highest quality local regulation of the various processing stages reduces interference and potential degradation of signal quality that sets new standards for digital audio playback . The signal processing module or the entire conversion board can beupgraded in the future as technologies evolve.

The analog stage features a wealth of highest quality, hand selected, components and carefully laid out signal traces to achieve the most transparent result possible, unleashing the full potential of Orpheus One SE’s digital section.

The blue dot-matrix display features large characters to ensure increased readability and an input naming function that allows the owner to customize names up to ten characters long for each source component.

The display has five user-selectable levels of illumination from full brightness to OFF.

In Night Mode, the display can be programmed to illuminate briefly to acknowledge reception of a command whenever a button on the front panel or remote is pressed before turning off again.

In conjunction with the front panel display, Orpheus’ specially developed menu navigation system becomes an ingenious communications centre for efficient, intuitive control with minimal fuss.

Designed to fit a single rack unit (482 x 370 x 75 mm), each Orpheus component employs an ultra-compact signal path layout for significant gains in audio performance.

ONE SE MK2

MK2 means this is a special edition next generation Orpheus Product. The Orpheus One SE MK2 has been upgraded with a USB port and a revised microcontroller. The microcontroller script has been optimised in order to use all its hardware capacity. This results in better sound performance. The USB expansion allows the user to connect a PC/MAC to the Orpheus One SE and use it as sound card. You can now listen to your music from your computer using the conversion quality of your Orpheus D/A Converter. The audiocard functions at 24 bits @ 96kHz.
