The D/A Converter is a 2 channel 24/384kHz upsampler and digital to analogue conversion unit.

The D/A Converter features software based Q5™ sample rate conversion technology. Each incoming data stream is converted into a high definition 24bit/384kHz signal prior to being converted to analog.

The complexity of the analogue reconstruction filter is significantly reduced by using a 384kHz sampling rate. This results in near perfect phase linearity and soundstage quality.

PRIVILEGE MK 2

MK2 means this is a next generation Orpheus model. The Orpheus Privilege MK2 has been upgraded with a USB module and the microcontroller has been revised. The microcontroller script has been optimised to use all of its hardware capacity. The improved efficiency manifests itself in enhanced sound performance. The USB expansion allows the Privilege MK2 to be connected to a PC/Mac and used as a sound card. You can now listen to music from your computer using the conversion quality of the Orpheus D/A Converter. The sound card is capable of transmitting audio in 24 bits at a sample rate of 96KHz.
